He was predeceased by: his wife Adelpha; his son Mark; his sister Heidi; and his parents, Dr. Karl Schneider and Dr. Trude Abmeier.

He is survived by: his girlfriend Silvia Traughber; his sons, Erik (Laura) and Udo (Jaclyn); his grandchildren, Marko, Luke, Lucia and Greta; and his siblings, Lissi and Stefan.
