We announce the death of Myrtle Elizabeth Bryant in Indianapolis, Indiana, born in Nashville, Tennessee, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas J. Bryant; her parents, William Readus and Helen Readus; and her siblings, Willie Buford Readus, William Gerald Wright, James Howard Readus, Thelma Rodgers and Melva Stanfield.
She is survived by: her children, Michael (Nadia Marks), David (Ellen Berkman) and Dr. Cathy Bryant; her grandchildren, Ben (Karli), Jodie, Lily, Jessie, Noah and Cole; and her great grandchild Kinsley Bryant.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery Memorial Chapel (700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Although Myrtle LOVED flowers, she preferred that donations be made to a charitable cause.
