He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Day Goodloe and Elijah Day, Sr.; his wife Shelly Day; and his siblings, Elijah Day Jr., McKinley Day (Kenny), Hercules Day, Lewis Carter Day (LC), Clementine Hawkins, Bobbie Jean Johnson, Carrie Day and Veresteen Day Thompson (Bonnie).
He is survived by: his children, Tyrone Day (Jamesetta) of Dalzell, Natalie Day of California and Sean Day of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his sister Hattie Mae Carroll of Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
