He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd O. Brown and Josie G. Brown (Carter); his children, Kathlyn K. Lewis and Thom N. Brown; and his brother Rex Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Brown; his daughters, Cindy L. Hager, Christina H. Maidlow (Jeff), Liz Liwosz (Ray) and Becky Kessler; and his siblings, Tom Brown and Mary Jean Koepper. He is also survived by six grandchildren; one great-grandson.
