Norman Lee Strader Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norman Lee Strader of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Norman may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Norman touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas H. O. Strader and Marion Ruth Strader (Kyle). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Strader (Lyon). He is also survived by his daughters, son, and stepsons; three sisters; two brothers; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143).

For those who wish to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to the American Heart Association in his honor.
