She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnson Edelen and Mary Elizabeth Cowherd; and her siblings, Anna Anderson, Charles Cowherd and Carl Cowherd.
She is survived by: her children, Donta Jermaine Cowherd Johnson, Zackery Cruz Cowherd, Jasma Marshall Cowherd, Shequila Carol Cowherd and Carl Wallace Cowherd. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
