He was predeceased by : his father Paul Richard Harper, Sr.; his mother-in-law Deeda Ferree; and his nephew John Davis, Jr.. He is survived by : his mother Harriet Grace Harper (Woodford); his wife Marcia J. Ferree Harper; his daughter Eliza Ethia Irene Harper; his sisters, Shannon Nikoe Harper and Stephanie Parham (Harper); his sister-in-law Casey Sullivan; his father-in-law Dennis Ferree; his nieces, Alexxus Grace Watson, Malaney Jo Sullivan and Demetria Burnett; and his nephew Maguire Carl Sullivan. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sherard Clinkscales lit a candle

“Paul and I met in the fall of 1985 as freshmen at Brebeuf. Paul was cool, handsome, smart, and could flat out shoot the ball. Paul was funny as all get out and a smart ass, that you never could get angry with, because he would flash that smile. In my case he would say all “all come on Shabuzz” that was his nickname for me, and it was all good. I didn’t get to spend much time with Paul after graduation, as life takes us on our journey, but I will always cherish friendship. Love you Paul.”
