It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis J. Bailey of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Phyllis J. Bailey to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Phyllis may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Boyer and Ruth Boyer (Tener); her husband Thomas J. Bailey, Sr.; her daughter Carolyn Vaught; her son-in-law Ron Vaught; and her grandson Adam.
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Bailey of Fishers, Thomas Bailey, Jr. of Corning, NY and D. Mark Bailey (Kim) of Indianapolis. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Phyllis's name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
