She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Matthew Clements and Delpha Agnes Clements; her husband James R. Smith; her children, Matthew R. Smith and Brenda R. Bailey; and her siblings, Paul "Gene" and Alberta.

She is survived by: her children, Michael R. Smith (Krystal), Catherine R. Smith and Kenneth R. Smith (Michele); and her siblings, Leo and Beverly. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and loved pets.
