He is survived by : his wife Susan Louanne Klagiss (Stewart); his pet GiGi; his father-in-law James N., Sr. Stewart (Mildred) of Rushville; his siblings-in-law, James Jr. Stewart (Anita) of Rushville and Monica Douglas (John) of Flat Rock, IN.; and his nieces and nephews, Megan Showalter (Mike), Michelle Korporal (Drew), James Stewart III, Jacob Stewart, as well as Stewart, Madeline and Parker Douglas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
