He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bowen and Dorothy Bowen (Weaver); his wife Betty Bowen; and his brothers-in-law, Billy Johnson and Wayne Matney.
He is survived by: his daughter Felicia Bowen; his stepson Mark Oliver; his grandchildren, Christopher Lawrence, Amber Dunn, Corey Dunn and Lindsey Skaggs; and his siblings, Shirley Schafer (Steven), Joann Johnson, John Boen (Carmen) and Linda Matney. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
