He was predeceased by: his parents, Odie B. Carroll and John S. Carroll; and his sister Beatrice Williams. He is survived by: his sister Willa Mae Jones; and his children, David Carroll (Paula), Robert Carroll Jr. (LaShanda) and Donna Nelson (Paul). He is also survived by grandfather and great-grandfather, cherished by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins.
