He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Marie (Humes) and Robert J. Smith, Sr.; his wife Margaret Smith (Van Dyke); his son Gregory Smith; his grandson Ryan Smith; and his siblings, Irwin Smith and Nancy Manthie.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Mashino, Mark I. Smith, Stephen R. Smith and Christopher L. Smith; his grandchildren, Lori Cantu, Julie Loker, Andy Mashino, Nitann Gray, Stephen Smith Gay, Samantha Smith and Katie Smith; and his great grandchildren, Ashton, Nicholas, Ethan, Mikaela, Jessica, Addison, Cameron, Hannah, Faith and Maddie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 700 Club or to Grace Assembly's Great Harvest Food Pantry.
