He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Strohmeyer and Selma Strohmeyer (Schoch); and his sisters, Dorothy Strohmeyer and Alma Embry. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Strohmeyer (Miller); and his children, Julie Whitesell (Dave), Robert Strohmeyer Jr. (Jenny), Lisa O'Connor, Eric Strohmeyer (Karen), David Strohmeyer, Amy Strohmeyer, Kris Strohmeyer and Kari Leander (Erik).

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, November 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lauck & Veldhof Funeral & Cremation Services (1458 S Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46225). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
