He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Clark Davis McDonald and Ernest L Davis; and his daughter Alissa K Davis. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Brian R Davis of Los Angeles, CA and Brittany Davis Vanneman (Brian) of Chapel Hill, NC; and his granddaughters, Kaeli A King, Nell I Vanneman and Margot R Vanneman.
