He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Reed (Schmidbauer); his children, Matt McDermott (HuiChan Ye), Ronald David Reed (Shelly), George McDermott (Nivan), Tim Reed, Bill Reed (Linda), Seana Zoderer (Carl), Justin Reed (Julie) and Kati Dyer (Nate); his granddaughter Stephanie Stockett; his children, Sean McDermott, Chris Reed, Jessica Flick, Cassandra Reed, Robby Zoderer, Jack Zoderer, Jacob Reed, Drew Reed, Mysia Dyer and Catie Reed; and his great grandchildren, Ronald D. Reed III and Maddox Reed.
