He is survived by: his brother Curtis; his wife Alice Swanson; his children, Tiffany Swanson, Yolanda Campbell of Hammond, Darcell Swanson of East Chicago and Lashawn Swanson of East Chicago; his grandchildren, Emoni, Aundre, Antwann, Shamekia Felders, Artis Winborn, Darniesha Swanson, Darlene Swanson, Darchelle Swanson and Darnell Swanson; his sisters, Bernie Brown of Boston, Sarah Ann Charles of Boston and Lisa Lloyd of Hurtsboro, Alabama; and his friends, Jonnie B Key, Leroy Phillips and Leroy Rias. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Lavenia & Summers Home For Funerals (5811 E 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46218). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
