The memory of Ruth Chapman of Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on June 14, 2025 at the age of 83, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Ferguson and Esther Ferguson (Crabtree); her husband Harley Joe Chapman; her son Neal Slaughter; her granddaughter Ashley Ham; and her siblings, Billy, Bethel, Tim and Serbert.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Slaughter (Angie) of Huntington and Becky Weir (Andy) of Indianapolis; her siblings, Roger, Bedford, Dale, Cegal Ferguson and Mae Jackson; and her grandchildren, Josh Slaughter, Christopher West, Nate Weir and Michael Weir. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
