With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shelby J. Chadwell (Indianapolis, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 23, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Shelby may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Shelby touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his wife Lois; his parents, Lester Chadwell and Hazel Chadwell (Perry); and his brothers, Gene, Smiley and G. C. Chadwell.

He is survived by: his daughters, LaDonna and Sherri (Tim).
