It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Downton (Indianapolis, Indiana), born in Trafalgar, Indiana, who passed away on January 10, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Steve Downton; her parents, Paul Allgood and Helen Allgood; and her siblings, Wanda Woods, Eugene Allgood and Paul Allgood.
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Harris and Jack Johnson; her grandchildren, Heather Carrel (Joseph), Anthony Harris (Heather), Jack Johnson III (Marisella), Rain Harris, Kami Harris, Haley Mader and Trevor Harris; and her siblings, Barbara Wood (Theodore "Woody"), Peggy Hanshew, Marjorie Russell, Florence Keever, Rick Allgood (Darlene) and Bobbi Bennett (Steve). She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
