Stephen Louis Carbone Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen Louis Carbone of Indianapolis, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Carbone and Rita Carbone (Benoit); his siblings, Joyce and Robert; and his parents-in-law, Francis and Carol Piatz of Mt. Angel.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Carbone (Piatz); his sisters, Carolyn (Terry Connolly) and Ruth (Phil Wehby); his nieces, Sarah, Abigail, Maggie, Rachael Wehby and Mary Grace Connolly; and his nephew Joseph.
He hoped to still make one more trip to Germany, but health issues that began developing in 2020 and the onset of the pandemic prevented that from taking place.
Since Steve will not be buried in Indiana, the family is requesting no flowers for the Indianapolis service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to St. Christopher Catholic Church in Speedway, St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Francis and Carol Piatz Scholarship Fund in Mt. Angel, Oregon.
