Terril Ivan Pettit Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lynford Pettit and Almira Faye Green Pettit of Columbus. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ellen Ault; his children, Aeriel Rose Richardson (Aaron) of Columbus and Caleb John Pettit (Zarius Woodruff) of Columbus; his grandchild Baylor John Pettit of Columbus; his sisters, Tina Denise Long of Columbus, Tamara Rose "Tammy" Hollen of Columbus and Tonia Almira Medaris (Barry) of Columbus; his siblings' children, Denise Sharpe (Tim) of Columbus, Crystal Miller (Travis) of Columbus, Lyndsey Thoman (Ryan) of Columbus, Reagan Medaris of Columbus, Christopher Zeigler (Ashley) of Scipio, Trevor Burton (Heather) of Columbus, Nick Burton (Sarah) of Greenwood and Taylor Hollen of Columbus; and his uncle Roy Ivan Green (Wanda) of North Vernon. He is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews, and cousins, as well as a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Homes and Crematory - Washington St (1029 Washington St, Columbus, IN 47201). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Baylor John's college fund, the Indianapolis 500 Oldtimers Club, or the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum.
