He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl F. Rothe and Mary Lou Hawk Rothe; and his brother-in-law N. Vincent Whitfield. He is survived by: his sister Sarah Rothe Whitfield (John Scott); his nephews, Jason M. Lee (Gretchen) and Jeff E. Lee; and his great-nephews, JJ and Gavin.
