With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Earl May (Indianapolis, Indiana), who passed away on April 6, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William May and Alta Tunks May; and his siblings, Stanley, Leroy, Russell, Estol May, Lila Zeigler and Evelyn Meek.

He is survived by: his spouse Phyllis Wright; his daughters, Deborah Mercer (John) of Jamestown and Janet Linkmeyer (Ron) of Friendship; his grandchildren, Eric Adams (Monica) of Brownstown, Elizabeth Mercer of Greenfield and Jodi Stockton (Patrick) of San Antonio, Texas; his great grandchildren, Lane, Clara, Graham Adams, Riley and Jackson Stockton; and his sister Lora Swinney of North Vernon.
