He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Hottinger and Wavenelle Hottinger; and his siblings, Tom Hottinger, Daniel Hottinger, Mike Hottinger, Linda Cash and Judy Stuart.

He is survived by: his wife Pam of Franklin; his stepson Jeffrey Boyer (Linda) of Nineveh; his grandson Bryce Boyer (Dana) of Franklin; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Hottinger and Deb Hottinger.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, in William's honor.
