He was predeceased by : his father Homer Duffer; his brother Anthony Wayne Duffer; his grandparents, James, Ann McCloud, Autry McCoy Tackett, Homer and Minnie Duffer; and his in-laws, Jose Fernandez and Eneida Castilla.

He is survived by : his mother Patricia High (Mike); his wife Alina Duffer (Fernandez); his sons, Jacob Duffer, Virgil Alyssa Duffer and Samuel Duffer; his siblings, Cyndi Duffer (Jason) and Michael Duffer (Nancy); his aunts, Mary Holstein and Beth Arieon; and his uncle Robert Tackett. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
