Esther M. Kellams Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Esther M. Kellams of Ireland, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 17, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Bartley and Emma Bartley (Auffart); her sister LaVerne Simmons; and her son Brent Kellams. She is survived by: her husband R. Thomas Kellams; her children, Cheryl Sermersheim (Mike) and Brian Kellams (Rhonda) of Ireland; her daughter-in-law Jeannie Kellams (Brent) of Newburgh; her grandchildren, Abby Dupps (Jason), Jaleigh Becher (Brad), Rachel Kellams of Ireland and Tyler Kellams of Ft. Wayne; her great grandchildren, Leo, Becca and Eva Dupps; her foster brother Joe Auffart; her sister Jo; and her brother-in-law Dennis Vogel of Ohio. She is also survived by three step grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (2829 N 500 W, Jasper, IN 47546). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, Heart-to-Heart Hospice, the Ireland Historical Society, or Legacy Living.
