She is survived by: her husband Gerard "Gary" M. Schmitt; her children, Kendra Renner (Max), Shawn Schmitt (Marissa), Carey Schmitt (Kim), Brad Schmitt and Chad Schmitt (Ashley); and her sisters, Frances Ackerman and Susie Sander.
