Merkley; her children, Marla Merkley and Jeff Merkley; her son-in-law Kurt Mathies; her grandson Johnny Seng; her great grandchildren, Catherine Therese, Rachel Gianna, Gabriel Pio, Maria Teresa, Anna Lucia Kreager and Lydia Kay Seng; and her siblings, Irene Werne, Monica Thacker, Jim, Cletus, Maurice, Sylvester, Robert and Tony Terwiske.
She is survived by: her children, Greg Merkley (Kanda) of Wadesville, IN, Brenda Durcholz (Bradley) of Warsaw, IN, Steve Merkley (Angie) of Newburgh, IN, Sandy Seng (John) of Jasper, IN and Lynn Harder (Mark) of Phoenix, AZ; and her grandchildren, Dana Kuharske (Steven), Audrey Zimmer (Nick), Brian Merkley (Anna), Eric Merkley (Jenna), Ashley Kreager (Ryan), Holly Gaskins (Tim), Kayla Dang (John), Andrew Merkley-Coyle (Michael), Evan Merkley, Heath Seng (Emily), Jeff Seng (Morgan Blessinger-Seng), Eli Seng (Emily) and Ben Seng. She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (2829 N 500 W, Jasper, IN 47546). Visitation was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or Riley Children's Hospital.
