He was predeceased by: his parents, John Godfrey and Helen A. Godfrey (Worth); his sister Ena Mowery; his brothers-in-law, Harold Mowery, Raymond Rehmel and Jasper Hamilton; and his nephews, John Rehmel, Tim Rehmel, Gregory Mowery and Randy Mowery.

He is survived by: his sisters, Judith K. Bandy (Paris) of New Palestine and Norma L. Hamilton of Jasonville, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
