She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Schnell and Rosa Schnell (Eckert); her grandchildren, Lauren Schulte and Olivia Schulte; her siblings, Ralph, Urban Schnell and Jenny Otto; her half-brother Gilbert Schnell; and her stepsiblings, Louie, Leroy Sermersheim, Lillion Rucker, Lee Etta Brames, Lenore Anderson and Mary Prechtel.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Schulte of Jasper, IN; her sons, Doug (Karen), Jeff Schulte (Ann) and Mike Schulte (Joyce); her grandchildren, Erin Fuhs (Greg), Beth Krouse (Kasey), Sara Boehman (Michael), Trey, Noah Schulte, Wayne Schulte and Eric Schulte (Erin); her stepgrandchildren, Eric Durcholz (Marisa) and Kelli Huther (Dan); and her stepsister Luella Bieker.
