She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles F. Kruger and Ida Mae "Mazie" Kruger (Fetcher); her husband Ron Thewes; her brother Todd Michael; and her nephews, Douglas Kruger and Marshall Leinenbach.
She is survived by: her children, Charlie Swan (Mary Schultz) and Kristy Spalding (William); her stepchildren, Terry Thewes (A'lynn), Jasper, Heith Thewes (Melody), Celestine, Dane Thewes (Amanda), Jody Hobbs and Avon; her grandchildren, Turner Swan, Walker Swan, Angel Lee, Nicholas Lee, Morgan Elms, Mason Thewes, Mariah Thewes, Sydney Hammond, Hunter Thewes, Ronnie Thewes, Cassie, Gage, Jayvin Thewes, Lily Thewes, Emma Hobbs and Rian Hobbs; her siblings, Jeanie Kruger, Tammy Leinenbach and Steve Kruger (Debra); and her former husband Ron Swan (Kenny Gerkin). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Becher & Kluesner Funeral Home - North (3221 N Newton St, Jasper, IN 47546). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (2829 N 500 W, Jasper, IN 47546).
Memorial contributions may be made to Chapter 1175 Women of the Moose or a favorite charity.
