With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Donald L. Knies of Jasper, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Knies and Delphine Knies (Heldman); his brothers-in-law, Skip Place and Cal Haas; and his nephew Isaac Frank.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Schlachter of Jasper, IN; his children, Adam Knies (Jill) of Jasper, IN and Shawna Verkamp (Jason) of Celestine, IN; his grandsons, Ty and Tryp Verkamp; and his siblings, Audrey Haas of Carmel, IN, Valerie Thompson (Brian) of Celestine, IN, Sarah Kidd (Brian) of Poynette, WI and Stan Knies (Dino) of Jasper, IN.
