It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald L. Eckert of Jasper, Indiana, who passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Linus Eckert and Agnes Eckert (Renner); his stepmother Lorena Eckert; his close friend Sharyal Eckert; and his brother-in-law Bill Sanders.
He is survived by: his daughter Becky Matthews (Phil) of Driftwood, TX; his grandchildren, Alexandra and Adam Matthews; and his siblings, Kathy Brelage (Jim) of Jasper, IN, Chris Sanders of Evansville, IN, Patty Jahn (Mark) of Jasper, IN, Theresa Cravener (Mike) of Jasper, IN, Tom Eckert (Juanita) of Jasper, IN and Arnie Eckert (Beverly) of Jasper, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
