It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doretha A. Schmitt of Jasper, Indiana, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Leonard Boeglin; her husband Raymond Schmitt; her children, Ann Routson and Robert "Bob" Boeglin; and her siblings, Betty Egan, Marge Gramelspacher, Jim and Ed Stenftenagel.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Gramelspacher (Glenn) of Summerfield, FL, Cathy Siebert (Mike) of Jasper, IN, Patty Schroeder (John) of Jasper, IN and John Boeglin (Donna) of Dallas, TX; her children-in-law, Debbie Boeglin of Santa Claus, IN and Don Routson of Noblesville, IN; and her siblings, Gerry Giesler of Jasper, IN, Jane Eckerle (Tom) of Carmel, IN and Mick Stenftenagel (Mary Ellen) of Texas. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family requests no flowers and gifts. Instead, memorial contributions may be made to Precious Blood Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
