She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Bartley and Viola Bartley (Wilmes); her husband Robert L. Schmitt of Joseph's Catholic Church; and her siblings, Valada Klem, Jeannie Schroeder and Larry Bartley.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Vogler (Mike) of Celestine, IN, Diane Beiter (John) of Nashville, TN, Lisa Arvesen (Kevin) of Jasper, IN, Gail Mehringer (Russ) of Jasper, IN, Stanley Schmitt (Sandy) of Jasper, IN and Tom Schmitt (Debbie) of Oakland Township, MI. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jasper or Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
