With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth A. Harter of Jasper, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 8, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Urban Merkel and Lilian Merkel (Lampert); her husband Paul Harter of Joseph's Catholic Church; her son David Harter; and her siblings, Margie Wolf, Patty Hoffman, Ginger Barclay, Larry and Gene Merkel.
She is survived by: her son Jeff Harter (Kathy) of Jasper, IN; her daughter-in-law Monica Harter of Cocschoton, OH; her grandchildren, Ashley Erny (Chad), Jenna Sermersheim (Justin), Brandon Harter and Takara Sawicky (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Will, Sam Erny, Allie, Evie, Jamin Sermersheim, Orianna and Allister Sawicky; her brother Kenny Merkel (Joan) of Milton, FL; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Merkel of Tucson, AZ, Bev Merkel of Jasper, IN and Ambrose Hoffman of Jasper, IN..
