We are sad to announce that on January 19, 2026, at the age of 74, Florence V. Matthews of Jasper, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Matthews and Viola Matthews (Schmitt); her siblings, Deborah Matthews, Ronnie, Donnie and Michael Matthews; and her brothers-in-law, Allen Wargel, Randy Wagner and Rick Crowley.
She is survived by: her siblings, Joyce Noya (Roy), Carolyn Wargel, Joan Wagner, Clare Weidenbenner (Dennis), Irene Hochgesang (Wayne), Agnes Bastys, Elizabeth Crowley, Martha Poehlein (Randall), Marian Jones (Ken) and Ed Matthews (Martha); and her sister-in-law Janet Matthews. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church or to the wishes of the family.
