He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilbert Blackgrave and Catherine Blackgrave (Dittmer); and his siblings, Hilbert, Charles, Robert, William, Mary Freyberger, Bettye Howard and Ruth Kern.
He is survived by: his children, Marina, Will Gray of Seattle and Michael Blackgrave of San Antonio; his sister Nelda; his brother-in-law Ron Mendel of Jasper; and his sister Carol Durst of Petersburg. He is also survived by two grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and good friends.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the National Park Foundation or to a favorite park.
