With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph V. Auffart of Jasper, Indiana, who passed away on March 18, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Auffart and Henrietta Auffart (Bachman); his uncle Herb; his aunt Emma Bartley; and his siblings, Ruthie Auffart, Emma Jean Reutman, Mary Heberer, Laverne Simmons (Esther Kellams), James, Robert and Anthony Auffart.

He is survived by: his children, Jill Cooper (Ryan) and Adam Auffart (Nina); his grandchildren, Masen Cooper (Hannah), Jaelyn Cooper (Ty McCory) and Lilly Auffart; and his pet Ruby Jane.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Dubois County Humane Society, or a favorite charity.
