He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Mehling and Leona Mehling (Braunecker); his son Chad Mehling; and his siblings, Irma Gogel, Bootsie Schwoeppe, Lee and Stan Mehling.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Neukam of Jasper, IN; his pet Libby; and his siblings, Norma Roos of Dale, IN, Sue Weyer (Terry) of Ferdinand, IN and Ken Mehling of Ferdinand, IN.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Becher & Kluesner Funeral Home - Downtown (214 E 7th St, Jasper, IN 47546). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at the Fairview Cemetery (1020 Kundeck St, Jasper, IN 47546).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Humane Society, the American Legion Poat #147 or to a favorite charity.
