He was predeceased by: his brother C. John Stenftenagel; and his brother-in-law Barney Moeller. He is survived by: his wife Karen Stenftenagel of Jasper, IN; his son Craig Sermersheim (Suzanne) of Ireland, IN; his grandchildren, Aidan, Anna Sermersheim, Erika and Kaleb Turpin; and his siblings-in-law, Valeda Moeller of Jasper, IN, Gay Stenftenagel of Flagstaff, AZ, Sylvan Jahn (Mary) of Jasper, IN and James Jahn (Marilyn) of Jasper, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (2829 N 500 W, Jasper, IN 47546). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dubois County Humane Society.
