He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Witte and Evelyn Witte (Mayfield); his wife Ruth Beyke; his sister Mary Ann Bawel; his siblings-in-law, Ralph of Luca, Ray Bawel and Jane Witte; his niece Linda Boyer; and his nephews, Timothy Kling and Jeffrey Bawel.
He is survived by: his children, Mick Witte (Mary) and Shaun Skerbitz (Jon); his grandchildren, Michael III (Madeline), Ally, Anna Witte and Sebastian Skerbitz; his great grandchildren, Cora and Michael Witte IV; and his siblings, Carl "Bud" Witte (Jasper) and Nancy of Luca. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (1029 Kundeck St, Jasper, IN 47546). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (1029 Kundeck St, Jasper, IN 47546).
