She was predeceased by : her parents, Arthur Kane and Anita Kane (Frank); her husband Eugene E. "Gene" Erny; and her siblings, Shirley Kraft, William "Bill' and Kenneth "Kenny" Kane.

She is survived by : her children, Cheryl Merkley (Jeff) of Jasper, IN and Bryan Erny (Angela) of Indianapolis, IN; her grandchildren, Janelle, Jennifer Merkley, Cole and Alec Erny; her great grandchildren, Addison, Reagan, Emerson and Hayden Merkley; and her brother Richard Kane (Carolyn) of Huntingburg, IN.. She is also survived by her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
