He was predeceased by: his parents, Chaturbhai Patel and Savitaben Patel. He is survived by: his wife Jashodaben Patel; and his children, Chetna Patel, Asuta Patel (Jayendra), Daxesh Patel (Kashmira) and Pritesh Patel (Purnima). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
