It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Mendel of Jasper, Indiana, born in Ireland, Indiana, who passed away on April 3, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Preceding; and his siblings, Karen Mehringer and Kenny Mendel. He is survived by: his children, Cheri Corley (Randy) of Floyds Knobs, IN, Brian Mendel (Denise) of Nampa, ID, Scott Mendel (Jori) of Crested Butte, CO and Roger Mendel (Jennifer) of Medina, MN; and his siblings, Mary Peters, Ronnie and Dave Mendel. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, Indiana, or to a favorite charity.
