Scott E. Barnes Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Scott E. Barnes of Jasper, Indiana. Scott, born on September 7, 1959 in East Saint Louis, Illinois, passed away on October 27, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Barnes and Ernie (Louise Self); and his brother Greg "Sonny" Alen. He is survived by: his son Alonzo (Kaytlynn Barnes); his grandchildren, Grayson Barnes and Hannah Hillyard; his former wife Sandra Keller; and his siblings, Collen White (Bill), Kathy Thomas (Sid), Joyce Yearian (Dan), Andy Self (Brenda), Jonathan Self (Rachael) and Jennifer Adams (Tom). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel (226 E Washington St, Oakland City, IN 47660).
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Pike Animal Welfare Shelter or the Dubois County Humane Society.
