With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Susan M. Abbett of Jasper, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Ruxer and Henrietta "Sis" Ruxer (Sternberg); and her husband Hugh "Doug" Abbett. She is survived by: her sons, Philip Abbett (Lori) and Nick Abbett (Taryn Brelage); her grandsons, Branton Abbett and Piercen Abbett; and her siblings, Brenda Himsel (Tom) and Bob Ruxer (Jasper). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Dubois County Humane Society, Freedom Reins, St. Joseph Catholic Church, or a favorite charity.
