She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Knies and Catherine Knies (Humbert); her son Scott Zehr; and her siblings, Clara Mae Knies, Cletus, Earl, Eugene, Elmer of Romie, JR and Gary Knies.
She is survived by: her husband James Kapp Sr. of Jasper, IN; her daughters, Rhonda Hopf (Brad) of Jasper, IN and Kristy Zehr of Deland, FL; her stepchildren, James Jr. Kapp (Dana) of Evansville, IN, Brenda Duncan (Dan) of Evansville, IN and Lori Kapp (Mike Brooks) of Florida; her grandchildren, Andrea Bounds (Jim), Ashlee Friend (Eric), Jayme Cauthen (Brent), Rachel Hopf, Justine Messmer and Ava Messmer; and her sisters, Shirley Buechler of Celestine, IN, Pat Hopf (Jim) of Celestine, IN and Judy Fleck (Ron) of Celestine, IN.. She is also survived by five step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, 20 step great grandchildren.
