He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Giesler and Marie Giesler (Englehart); his wife Joan M. McDermott of Joseph's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Margie Block, Linda Giesler, Bernice Mathies, Ruth Elliot, Viola Brickey, Shirley Mehringer, Virginia Turk, Mary Jane Giesler, Charles, Robert and Edward Giesler.
He is survived by: his sons, Jay Giesler (Dawn) of Huntingburg, IN and Chad Giesler (Kathy) of Jasper, IN; his grandchildren, Connor, Dillon, Dakota, Madison and Jaylyn; and his siblings, Donald Giesler (Virlee) of Jasper, IN, Terry Giesler (Julie) of Jasper, IN, Larry Giesler (Robin) of Spencer, IN, Betty Wildman (Jim) of Jasper, IN and Sue Friedman of Jasper, IN. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
